history of Fratelli Onofri brand

Fratelli Onofri is one of the first Italian manufacturers of  kitchen appliances. From the very beginning the company endeavoured to meet the unique requirements of the consumers and the manufacture the products of refined design and style.

Fratelli Onofri means in Italian „brothers Onofri“ and at the beginning there were indeed two brothers Giovanni a Goffredo Onofri.

In 1950’s they established  in norhern Italy the factory for production of cookers for domestic use.  The success of the business was mainly to the courage and the abilities of the founders.

In 1960’s the company was successfully supplying the cookers to the main Italan kitchen manufacturers, but above all, it was able to meet the requests of the clients on design, functions and the finish according to the needs of final consumers.

Satisfying the needs of the clients was the best business philosophy and contributed to the growth of the brand.

In 1970’s the firm Fratelli Onofri created the trends, when as the first factory produced the built-in kitchen appliances of its own construction. This important step strengthened the leading position on  the  Italian market and the brand became the example for other brands.

At the beginning of 1980’s Fratelli Onofri acquired leading position on the European market. The company has been always attentive to the wishes of the clients and for example the first combined technology – cooker with built-in dishwasher – was our product.

The success on the export markets and the growth on the local Italian market led to the increase of production capacity and also new factory for the kitchen crockery and sinks was opened.

2003 was important year in our history, when Fratelli Onofri launched the range of cookers „Home Restaurant“. Unique design, colours and used materials joined with the knowledge from the professional gastronomy were behind the outstanding success of this range of semi-professional cookers.

Year 2008 represents another important milestone in our history. Brand new range of built-in appliances „Trend Collection“ is in line with ongoing design trends and Italian taste.

In order to emphasize the individuality of the functions and the coordinated look of ovens and hobs, each style series has a name : SOUL, VOQUE, MANHATTAN, WIN, ICON, IMPERIAL a CASABLANCA.

Fratelli Onofri appliances are designed in worldwide famous Italian design, whilst they are always inspired by the culinary tradition of their birth place.
